Professor Gail S. Goodman has been an accomplished professor of psychology since 1993 and director for the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name is widely praised as the pioneer of modern research of the eyewitness memory of children and utilizing child victims to testify as legal witnesses. Professor Goodman is a prolific author who has received several awards and grants. She has offered policy and research consultations to numerous agencies and government departments from all over the world. She acts as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has memberships with numerous professional groups, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the head of the The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
